Welcome!
Drew Hines
VUMC Medical Student
I am a Vanderbilt University medical student originally from Syracuse, New York. I completed my undergraduate studies in Molecular Biology at Cedarville University. After graduation, I deferred my matriculation into medical school to work as a research technician at The Ohio State University. Under Dr. Megan Ballinger’s mentorship, I analyzed the role of macrophages in the development of pulmonary fibrosis. Now as a member of the Jan Lab, my work seeks to characterize key genes that regulate the development and cellular function of the stria vascularis. Outside of work, I enjoy playing basketball, watching anime, thrifting, going to concerts, exploring all types of new music, and collecting records far older than me.
