Reese Gerbic
Clinical / Translational Research Coordinator II
Welcome!
I am a Nashville native and have been working in healthcare for about ten years. After completing my undergraduate degree at Belmont University, I had a brief stint in project management while working at an architectural firm and learning about structural engineering. However, I quickly realized that I preferred more human interaction, so I started working at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in 2016. I worked with all the specialty pediatric clinics to help coordinate care for complex care patients. In 2019, I began working in research and joined the team at Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer's Center. At the start of the pandemic, I decided to get back to working with children and began teaching both online and in-person. During this time, I also started working on my masters in bioethics and health policy at Loyola University in Chicago. I rejoined the research world in January 2024 when I began working in otolaryngology clinical trials where my focus has been primarily in the otology division working on gene therapy studies. In my free time I enjoy hiking, hosting dinner club, word puzzles, traveling, volunteering with Alive Hospice, and spending time with all my friends’ animals.
